Cherry Blossoms Nails Stamping *inspired by Robin Moses*

Hey all!

If you didn't know, today was the Cherry Blossom Festival at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.  I had cherry blossoms on the brain after seeing that on the news, so I decided to embrace it.  Embrace it I did.

I remembered a video Robin Moses did on white which gave me some great tips (just search for robin moses cherry blossoms) - like fanning an opalescent pink under the stamping and using dots to represent the flowers.  Great stuff!

There are several pictures I have to share with you today.

The first was my first attempt at this manicure (from the video):

Manicure:
1 coat Perfect Formula Gel Coat
2 coats Butter London Yummy Mummy - swiped with Dazzle Dry Warm Affection
Stamped with Wet'n'Wild Black Creme using Mash-37
Dotted with Dazzle Dry Raspberry Rush, Julep Melissa, and Zoya Shelby
1 coat Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps Hard as Nails
1 coat Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat

This was lovely, but I felt like I was overloading my branches (they'd never hold up), so I took a q-tip to it until the stamps and dots were gone.  Time to try again with a little more control.

Manicure:
Same colors, but this time for stamping I added Nails Inc Floral Street (white) and didn't use Julep Melissa since I was toning it down.

Here's another angle.

I am really happy with the simple, but feminine look.  And finally,  the video...

Geometric Nail Stamping

Hi all!

Sometimes I don't know what I want to do to my nails.  This was one of those weeks where I didn't want to experiment (not knowing how it would turn out and if I'd be happy with it. I wanted something I knew would turn out well.

Here's what I ended up with this week:

Manicure:
1 coat Julep Oxygenating Nail Therapy
2 coats Dazzle Dry Midnight Express
Stamped with China Glaze Admire using BM319
1 coat Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps Hard as Nails
1 coat Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat

So, like all of us do I did some nail window shopping on the Internet and came across this:

They are $1.64 a set, but I believe you have to buy a minimum of 50 sets.  I knew that I had a Bundle Monster image that was similar.  I didn't realize my image was so much larger the image was.  I think it came through loud and clear though.

So here's to stress free combinations.

Connect The Flowers Nail Stamping

Hi all!

I think I'm going to try using these Dazzle Dry polishes until I've tried out each one.  We'll see how long that idea lasts, but I have seen a marked improvement in my nails (lack of staining) and longevity of manicure (tips lasting until the 5th day...crazy).  Today I also used my Pueen plates (you know how I feel about that name) and I like how it came out.

Here it is:

Manicure:
1 coat Julep Oxygenating Nail Treatment
2 1/2 coats Dazzle Dry Nocturnal Blue (we'll discuss the formula below)
Stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-dri Mint Sprint and Pueen 12
1 coat Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps Hard as Nails
1 coat Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat

Dazzle Dry Nocturnal Blue.
Verdict?
Here's the thing about some Dazzle Dry formulas.  For some reason, some color separate on my nail leaving true bald spots down to the base coat.  Some colors have great one-coat formulas.   Please let me know if any of you have experienced this.  I applied two coats and then filled in any bald spots that showed my natural nail.

The color is a true royal blue that made a great contrast with Mint Sprint.  I love the Sally Hansen Insta-dri's for stamping.

I hope you like this one.

Tranquil Zebra Nail Stamping

Hi all!

I am taking a little video break, due to lack of time, but I can always take a few pics.

I know the title of this post sounds like a yoga pose, but I have been wanting to do this manicure for ages.  . Other ideas seems to pop up postponing this one.  One day I came across a video tutorial for this manicure (of course I can't find it now) so I will simply say this is not my idea or design

Here's how it turned out:

Manicure:
1 coat Perfect Formula Gel Coat
2 coats Dazzle Dry Tranquil Gray
1 swipe Dazzle Dry Casablanca (in different directions on each nail_
Stamped with Kleancolor Black and BM-221
1 coat Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps Hard as Nails
1 coat Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat

Whew!

Here's how it developed:

As you can see, the formula for Tranquil Gray ended up with ridges that were so strange to me.  It all evened out in the end, but still weird.

Then came strategic Casablanca swipes.

This is in natural light.

Stamping really make a huge difference and I love how it came out!

I hope you like this one.

Spring Zebra Nail Stamping

Hi all!

Things have been crazy.  So crazy I am only now posting the manicure I did on Saturday.  No muss no fuss, here's how it turned out.

Manicure:
1 coat Julep Oxygen Nail Therapy
2 coats Dazzle Dry Lavender Parade
Stamped using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Pronto Purple and BM 223
1 coat Julep Freedom Polymer Top coat

As you can see I tried a couple new things this week.  I hope they work as well if not better than my usual formula.

Thanks for checking out my blog...
